About Tiaggo
Hi! I'm Tiaggo Guima, a voice coach, singer, actor, and voice actor with over 15 years of professional experience in performance and vocal arts.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Art Education specializing in music, voice, drama, and voice acting. My passion for the human voice has shaped my career ever since.
I began studying voice in 2007 and later specialized in the Contemporary Belting technique developed by Marconi Araújo. I'm certified in Vocal Science through the Voice Training Institute (IFV), deepening my understanding of healthy, efficient, and expressive voice production. Over the years, I've performed in musical theatre productions including My Fair Lady (Professor Henry Higgins), West Side Story (Bernardo), and Beauty and the Beast (Gaston).
Beyond the stage, I've spent more than a decade directing musical theatre productions for children and teenagers and coaching singers and actors to develop confident, healthy, and expressive voices.
I've worked as a vocal director for animated productions for Netflix and Discovery Kids, helping voice actors and singers bring their characters to life. As a voice actor, I've had the opportunity to work on numerous dubbing projects.
Since 2016, I've been teaching private singing lessons, helping students of all ages and experience levels unlock their unique voices. I've also taught at music schools, including MSI in Langley, British Columbia.
Whether your goal is to sing with more confidence, expand your vocal range, prepare for auditions or performances, improve your vocal technique, or simply discover the joy of singing, my lessons are tailored to your individual goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.

What to expect in your first lesson?
- On the first day we will get to know each other, I will understand your goals, expectations, and needs!
- I have many students with no prior experience in singing or any sort of introduction to music. That's what I'm here for! I have been a singing teacher for more than 10 years, and it is very motivating for me to see the progress of my students. I have experience both with beginner students and professional singers: I'm here to take you to the next level!
- The lessons are always online: I use the piano to accompany the classes and eventually playbacks to make things easier for the student.
- We will work on breathing techniques, muscle development and awareness, vocal management, support, projection, and voice fitting, to create a repertoire for different scenarios.
- You choose what to sing: musical theatre, pop, rock, classical, and so on. I’ll be here to guide you.
- You'll have individual exercises developed just for you, to practice at home at your own pace.

FAQs
I usually recommend parents to start singing lessons after 8 years old. Before that age, all the voice muscles are not fully ready to face a vocal demand of a singing lesson.
You will need a computer (if possible, install the Zoom app), headphones, water (without ice) and bring a song that you like and would love to sing. That way I'll know your music preferences since the beginning.
My studio is located in Mission, BC. If you live nearby and would like in-person lessons, I''d be happy to welcome you!
Otherwise, most of my students take lessons online. I teach students from all over the world, and the online format is definitely not a barrier to learning. In fact, many students achieve even better results when they can sing from the comfort of their own home, in a quiet and familiar environment.
We ask for a 24 hour notice in order to reschedule your class. If you have an unexpected emergency at the day of the class, please contact me as soon as possible to check what we can do soo you don't loose your class.
